I don’t want my posts to be dismissed because you find them unrelatable, so I’ve chosen to remain anonymous. I’m not blogging for fame or fortune, I’m blogging because I have some real, honest, and raw things to share with you, and the belief that we can help each other.
Instead of turning you off (or on) by my gender, race and beliefs, I’d like to appeal to your humanity. That’s it. I assume you’re a human being, and not some animal or alien whose been trained to read, and I’d like to start there.
Over time, I’m sure you’ll find the clues you need to form an opinion about who’s writing all this. In the beginning, it’s not important. My goal in this project is to show you who I am, garner relationships, and find a way to form a human collective of acceptance and innovation. I’m putting myself out there for you and for us.
Each post is my own and, while I’m not seeking fame, should you choose to share something through the numerous communication channels we find available to us these days, jenxwakes.com would appreciate a reference. Let’s face it, if I’ve posted something thought provoking, insightful, and or meaningful enough that you feel the need to let people know it’s out there, it’s only fair to let people know where it came from.
This blog site has one author, but many characters. I’m opening the pages of my journal for the world to see, knowing I can’t take anything back once it’s hit the interweb. Some days I will sound angry, some days happy, some days sad and, most of the time, opinionated – just like real life. I do not have all of the facts, all of the time, but when I do, I will drop a reference. I am about valuing life, and I’ll show you that I get you, but I encourage everyone who reads these posts to follow through on your own stuff in the real world, with someone or something you can look in the eye. My only aspiration is that my truth sparks the flame of acceptance, dialogue and healing. We humans need that, or we’re all fucked.
